Embassy of Italy hosts of Washington Diplomat 2023 Media Bash to celebrate Women in Media. 
In celebration of the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, Italian Ambassador to the United States, Mariangela Zappia, hosted 
on the evening of Friday April 28th the Annual Washington Diplomat Media Bash.
The event attracted hundreds of guests including Jan Du Plain, CEO and President of Du Plain Global Enterprises, Inc (photo) with Victor Shiblie.
Speaking to a diverse audience that includes journalists, diplomats, artists and others, the Italian diplomat lauded Media in general as an important tool to promote freedom, democracy and human rights. 
In her remarks, she called on Russia to release Evan Gershkovich, the Wall Street Journal reporter detained on espionage charges in the country battling war with neighboring Ukraine.
The event was a colorful one as Guests enjoyed each other’s company in a fun and festive party environment to celebrate Women Achievement.
Diplomat’s partner for the evening was the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) with contribution from Western Express Forwarding, a leading transportation company in the area.

Guests enjoyed Italian tradition, food, wine, music and dance throughout the evening.
This was another Media Bash of Washington Diplomat with Victor Shiblie and his team including Fouad bringing down the house.
